I am not sure what has overcome me but I am again thinking about Hawaii. Could it be because of some momentous event that’s about to occur in my life? Nah! Could it be due to work? Nah! Absolutely not. I love my little respite there so far. Could it be school? Well let’s just say your getting much hotter.
But sincerely, I am ready for another Hawaiian treat. It’s been over 15 months since I last went and I think I am feeling the withdrawal effects of not getting my yearly visit in. My body needs to reclaim the warm breezes, the aroma of flowery-perfumed air, the sensation of sand beneath my feet. Darn you Spo for getting me started with that Costa Rican vacation you are currently basking amidst!
I never thought that I would grow so attached to a place but I have. I am ready for my Maui. Funny, my little sister and I were talking about it Tuesday night as well as last night again. We were commenting how all of the immediate family (that’s 22 people), needed to do the big family Maui vacation again as we did in April 2002, six months before dad succumbed to cancer. I need to draw out that peaceful sensation I attained there – the source of life alignment. I call it my HAWAIIAN PARADISE. I am not sure if I ever showed pictures of the place my family and I splurged on to treat my dad. If you click here, you won’t be disappointed. Take the time to check out some of the layout of the place. I suspect that we’ll be back there within in a year or two since my brother-in-law has been contemplating it. When he gets something in his mind, he usually doesn’t detour. LOL.
Doesn’t Maui sound heavenly right now? I’ve often wondered how many of my blogger buds would be game to put in for a Hawaiian house rental on Maui and vacation for a week. Just simple lounging by the pool or ocean during the day, tropical drinks, grilling in the evening, and good conversation. In any event, Maui is on my brain for April, right after I finish up with school. Heck…I think that’s only 8 weeks away.
(Sidenote: Thanks to all of you who passed along your congratulations from Spider’s post yesterday about my accomplishment. It was a morale booster! Hugs. And a special thanks to that super arachnoid!)

Will you wear a grass skirt? Then I must ask as I would ask a Scotsman, what do you wear underneath?

Hawaii sounds wonderful right now. Actually it always sounds nice, but I’d kill at the moment for some warm weather. Count me in on the Maui house.

I’ve never been to Hawaii….even though I have two friends who live there.

I spent a week on Maui a few years ago — my only trip so far to Hawai’i. One of the most relaxing times I ever had. Just sitting on the beach all day doing nothing….loved it!!! Maybe a few of us could stow away in your luggage??

Oh MAN – you KNOW I would love to go, but after looking at the rates dear, I would have to sell the dog, the Jeep and my body to pay for a morning there… but it IS beautiful… and I am sure one of the most relaxing and romantic places in the world…

I’ve never been, either, but it sounds almost too good to be true.

After being on the slopes for the past week, a little sunworshipping sounds wonderful.

man I’ve been daydreaming myself lately, I’ve always dreamed of Hawaii, my dad dreamed of it his whole lifetime, and still hasn’t gone. I sure don’t want to wait my whole lifetime.

Speaking as one who lives here I can tell you it is nice ..not to rub it in for all of you snow birds, but it truly is awesome. I just hate the way life interupts me sometimes, since I am not just Vacationing here I do have to think about work rent bills etc. But it is great. If you guys do get a bunch to come over here don’t forget about telling me when you are hee so we can meet for a dinner or drinks or something.
