I’m alive! Just have been busy at work this week after coming of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I walked into the office on Monday only to be advised that we had been surprised with a project deadline that ran yesterday, Wednesday. Technically it was suppose to have expired at the end of the business day this past Monday. Sheeze…we aren’t God. Guess when the notification of this deadline was made known to design firm - via email late Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving. And half the office had departed with a return date slated for this past Monday. Sometimes I wonder what clients are thinking.
Anyway. I thought we try something new today. I’m calling it Thursday’s ‘This or That.” Tell me how you perceive yourself based on the word listings. Be yourself, be honest. There is no right or wrong in any potential response. Select one of two on each line that most closely describes you presently.
Realist or Dreamer
Romantic or ‘Safe’
Muscled or Bearish
Intellectual or Artistic
Introverted or Extroverted
Sports-oriented or hobbies-oriented
Traveler or Homebody
Spicy or Sweet
Think there is enough for you to ponder. Give it a whirl. I think this should make for some interesting and fun reading at my end. ![]()

1. REALISTIC with a little dreaming tossed in.
2. SAFE with more than a little romanticism
3. You’ve got to be kidding (have you seen me???)
4. Intellectual, but definitely an artistic flair (heavy on the FLAIR)
5. EXTROvert…..but love my quiet alone time.
6. HOBBIES (have you seen me play sports…not pretty)
7. TRAVELING but really dig being home too.
8. SPICY (and sweet….love the combination)
November 29, 2007 at 8:53 am
Sometimes I’m too much a realist, and lately I’ve been trying to explore my dreams a little more. Life is too real on its own.
Again, I’ve been safe in the past, but becoming more romantic.
I’m definitely not bearish, but I’m not really muscled either. If we’re talking about my preferences, I prefer lightly muscled.
Far too intellectual. I have no artistic side as yet, but I keep trying.
Introverted for the most part. Get me drunk and I become an extrovert, but I don’t get drunk much anymore.
Tennis and baseball are my two sports. I sail, but that’s more of a hobby for me. I lean toward hobbies more than sports. I’m not very competitive.
I’m a homebody wanting to travel more. It’s a matter of lighting a fire under my butt.
Sweet.

Realist - I’m way too real, I dream of being more of a dreamer
Safe - I can do romantic things - but I’d rather be naasti
Muscled - Yea! Finally - I’m getting that way
Intellectual - but working on expressing my artistic side - I think artists express themselves with more flair
Introverted - Unless I’ve had some Tequila - then - then I’m naked and introverted - and you don’t have to talk with something in your mouth.
Hobbies-oriented - the bike riding thing is just something I do to raise money & to socialize. get out of the house - gardening is a hobby - right?
Homebody - it ain’t polite do gardening at some hotel - they got their own landscape artists… Damn them.
Spicy or Sweet? - This whole thing is how I perceive myself, right? - Spicy - though others might think I’m sweet

Realist or Dreamer : Dreamer. I wish I were more of a realist.

Muscled or Bearish: Umm…nerdy.
Intellectual or Artistic: Intellectual. Somethimes I think I’m almost pathalogically left-brained.
Introverted or Extroverted: Introverted, but way less so than my partner.
Sports-oriented or hobbies-oriented: A bit of both. Probably more hobbies- cheesemaking isn’t a sport.
Traveler or Homebody: Heheh- I got back from South America a week and a half ago. Tuesday I leave for Mexico. These days I’m no homebody.

Realist or Dreamer - Realist. Although I have flights of fancy, I’m extremely practical in my outlook, and a bit too pessimistic sometimes.
Romantic or ‘Safe’ - Not sure what’s meant by this, but I would have to say more romantic. I prefer being partnered.
Muscled or Bearish - Neither right now, used to be muscled, but never stopped traffic.
Intellectual or Artistic - Since I’ve started pottery I’d have to say artistic.
Introverted or Extroverted - slightly more extroverted, but very interior sometimes.
Sports-oriented or hobbies-oriented - hobbies, except for watching the Boston Red Sox.
Traveler or Homebody - Traveler. Love to travel.
Spicy or Sweet - not either/or. Healthy combo of both, being a Scorpio and all.
Definite sweet tooth.

Ohmigod Tony, I’m pleased to divert attention back to your original topic:
Dreamer (gets me in trouble)
Romantic (real people only)
Bearish (who isn’t?)
Intellectual (I’m a good detective)
Extroverted (love to meet bloggers!)
hobbies-oriented (plastic bead mosaic)
Homebody (bed post notching!!!)
Spicy (although I make a great lemon meringue!)
I used to be introverted but realized that was a boring way to lead my life.

Hi, Tony
I’m sorry for my role in hijacking your blog yesterday. I don’t even recall how I got sucked into this. What you witnessed is a frustrated person who has been cyber-bullied by his own gay community for almost 4 months. This is a normal day for me, but I usually delete the comments. After a while one loses their cool. That’s no excuse. However it is difficult to spend 4 months wandering the blogosphere and see oneself being called a liar, fraud, and fake over and over again. Peace.

To all of you: Think how disrespectful you are being by carrying on this way on Tony’s blog. /rant
Dreamer: However, life has taught me the value of being realistic. This was a hard one for me.
Romantic
Muscled - (subjective but I like to think I am)
Intellectual: I suck at being artistic
Extroverted: Duh!
Hobbies-oriented: My father ruined most sports for me.
Traveler
Spicy or Sweet: Both!

You’re absolutely right Moby, and I owe the biggest apology. While I apologized to Tony in private, I wish to do it here, also.
Tony has stuck by me through some tough times; and I value him more than I demonstrated on this thread.
I value people, in general, more than I showed on this thread. The sad thing is that we all have our limits.
Irregardless, this wasn’t the place to show that my limitations have been reached.

Sorry for the schoolyard brawl on your blog Tony. Please delete my comments too. Thanks.

Dreamer - It comes with being an artist although I’ve learned to be a realist.
Safe
Slowly becoming less muscled and more bearish…but not without a fight!
Intellectual artist. I’m too anal retentive not to allow my intellect to influence my art. Such a flaw but flaws are good.
Seriously introverted.
Sports oriented but can I bring my knitting?
Homebody but ‘dream’ of traveling more. I love to travel and could seriously live in hotels. No housekeeping!
Your call.
