Here I am writing yet another post trying to figure out exactly when I am calling it quits with blogging. The nerves are beginning to set in a bit with respect to my potential move into operating a design business with two other people. And it appears that decision time is actually here as of next Tuesday, 12/18. I received an email from the firm associate yesterday telling me that he and the firm owner want to meet with me to discuss my future with the design group. I think it will pertain to a full-time salaried position in lieu of my current hourly wage status. I plan on hearing out any offer but I suspect it is not going to meet the current financial need that I have. I’ll sit on it for a day or two and then meet with management again, most likely asking for a reduction of hours to twenty-four or thirty-two hours per week. This will allow me to break into the new business and have a little income earned for needed items. I’m not sure I know what to expect from management when I do give notice. Ah hell, now is not the time to ponder this. I’ll save it for the weekend.
Anyhow. I am picking up today with Thursday’s ‘This or That.” Tell me how you perceive yourself, characteristics or otherwise, based on the word listings. Be yourself, be honest. There is no right or wrong in any potential response. Select one of two on each line that most closely describes you presently.
Totally Obvious or Smooth Operator
Tempered or Easy-Going
Half-Naked or Partially Clothed
Provider or Preparer
Smooth or Furry
‘Human’ or Near-Perfection
Jokester or Prankster (there’s a difference)
Think the glass is half-full or Think the glass is half-empty
Tender or ‘Gruff’
Do you think you have enough to ponder? I do. So give it some good honest thought and post your responses along with any additional commentary you’d like to share. One more day and the weekend is here again. Dang this month is flying by…Christmas in less than two weeks.

Totally Obvious or Smooth Operator: Totally Obvious ( I am always caught looking)
Tempered or Easy-Going: Easy going
Half-Naked or Partially Clothed: Do you read my blog??? HNT Baby!
Provider or Preparer: A bit of both, more provider though (would be even more so if I had tons of money)
Smooth or Furry: Furry, but need a trim
‘Human’ or Near-Perfection: Human
Jokester or Prankster (there’s a difference): Jokester, knock knock…
Think the glass is half-full or Think the glass is half-empty: half full, gimme some ice and fresca a fill that sucker up
Tender or ‘Gruff’: tender (but a bit gruff in the morning before my coffee)
I hate to see you give up blogging… it seems to be another way to express yourself. Even if it is only on the weekends or every other week… should still use it as an outlet… Just my opinion…

1. Totally Obvious: heck, my wife tells me what I am thinking by watching the back of my head (seriously!)
2. Tempered: I would use the term tempered. When prodded the wrong way, I am no longer “tempered”.
3. Partially Clothed: It jives with my sense of modesty.
4. Provider
5. Furry
6. ‘Human’: definitely human! not even close to perfection!
7. Jokester: I like to joke and have fun, but I try not to do so at others’ expense. I find pranksters to be mean.
8. Think the glass is half-empty: alas! most of the time I am a pessimist. (long history there)
9. Tender: I think of myself as tender.
Tony, good luck and best wishes with the career decisions!

Good luck with the job(s). My only comment about the blog is: there’s no reason to declare a total shutdown. Even if you post only once a month.
On to your this-or-that:
Totally Obvious: I am not good at hiding my emotions. No poker face here.
Easy-Going most of the time, but I have a temper that I hate.
Half-Naked, or all-naked if I am able. I definitely have an exhibitionist streak in me.
Preparer, mostly.
Smooth.
Total human. I would doubt the sanity of anyone who claimed to be near-perfection.
Jokester. I’m not big on pranks, which have an element of cruelty to them.
I hate to admit it, but I usually see the glass as half-empty. This is something I am working on desperately.
Tender. Hugs & kisses!

Prankster - the jury is still out on this one but I think prankster.
Think the glass is half-empty - always wanting more!

Totally Obvious - I wear my heart on my sleeve. Always have.
Tempered -Though it pains me to admit it. I blame my Irish heritage.
Half-Naked - Don’t tell anyone.
Provider or Preparer - A bit of both.
Furry - Though not excessively so.
Human - But that’s OK. I don’t think that I’d like somebody who felt that they were near perfection, so I don’t mind being on the human end of this one.
Jokester - As others have noted, prankster carries an air of meanness about it. Whatever else, I’m not a mean person.
Think the glass is half-full. Definitely half full. I’ve always been an optimist.
Tender
